March

What to do on an allotment in March

General jobs in the garden

Move covers on Cloches on sunny days
Hoe newly imerging weeds
Mulch beds after rain to retain moisture
Warm soil wih fleece or polythene ready for planting
Make stale seeds beds

If you have any horticultural fleece, you can peg that onto the ground a week or so before you plant. The small rise in temperature of the soil can make a big difference
